category/subcategory data needs summarizing

I'm having troubles finding the right tool...  Here is a slice of my data:

Amount Type Category Sub-Category

I wish to do a simple summary ((outline style would be okay) of Category and Sub-Category columns, showing amounts.   I've tried combinations of sorting, outline, filters, but can't seem to find the simple answer.  Help please  ;-)
