Adding a solid line and dotted line in VISIO org chart

I'm using Visio to draw up some org charts.  I have added all the solid line reporting. I have some people that also have a dotted line report.  When I add the dotted line the solid line disappears. How do I add both a solid line and a dotted line?

    Thank you for querying in this forum.

    From your description, it seems that you have draw org charts in Visio, and you have added some solid line reporting, however, you cannot add a dotted line report at the same time.

    May I know if my understanding is right? If so, we have tested it on our side, we drew s org chart, then we clicked Dotted-line report, we can use solid and dotted line at the same time, as shown below:

    If you have tried the suggestions above and same problem still persists, to better understand your situation, could you provide the information below?

    1. Could you provide the product name and version of your Visio? You can go to Visio > File > Account and provide the screenshot of it.
    2. May I know if all organization charts have the same problem?
    3. If it is convenient to you, could you provide the screenshot of organization chart and the detailed steps about how you create this chart and added those solid line and dotted lines?

    Many thanks.  That helps.  I was trying to add a connector from the top toolbar.  Works fine now.
