Full screen presentation mode on the iPhone?

I need a way for my sales team to have a customer's profile in the palm of their hand on a single slide. Google Slides let's me do this, a full screen presentation on the phone only. The presentation mode in the iPhone powerpoint app seems to only offer a view on the phone that includes the speaker notes. The slide itself does not take up the whole screen on the phone. Is there a presentation mode on the iPhone app that just shows the slide fullscreen without the notes?

    Hi djowhite,

Thanks for using Microsoft products and posting in the community, I'm glad to offer help.

According to your description, I created a presentation with two portrait slides and opened it on iPhone, as you can see, the toolbar/notes will be hidden only in landscape mode. However, in portrait mode, even if I started the show, the toolbar/notes will always display on the screen, and there is no such an option could hide them.

    Landscape mode:

Hi John, thanks for the suggestion. With iPhone8/iOS 14.3 the screen lock option from swiping up the control center seems to be to lock portrait mode. So if I start ppt in landscape, select screen lock, then pivot to portrait I still get portrait mode in ppt, with the 40% screen loss.

I can see that a presentation mode that shows notes and thumbnails on the phone - a remote control effectively - would be great in many situations. Unfortunately, not for the use case I have in mind. Thanks everyone for your help, I'll stick with Google Slides as that seems to be the best fit for this use case.

Thanks Steve. You're right, the toolbar does go away in presentation mode when it's horizontal. Sorry, I should've mentioned my slides are portrait/vertically oriented! Which, unless I'm missing something, means that 40% of the screen is given up to notes and thumbnails in presentation mode....

iOS includes a screen rotation lock option. Try starting the presentation horizontally, then lock the screen and see if you can turn the iPhone to make the presentation readable. On some models, you can set the side switch to do the locking.

I just checked this with the iPhone PowerPoint app and the iPhone Office app that includes PowerPoint.

In both of them, the icon that looks like a right-pointing triangle starts the screenshow, where it initially shows a few tools at the top of the screen (assuming you're holding the device horizontally), but they either disappear on their own or go away when you tap or swipe up.
