How do I change the bar width and gap on a bar chart?

    Click on the chart to select it.

    Click on a bar.

    On the Format tab of the ribbon, in the Current Selection group, click Format Selection.

    Under Series Options, you can change the Series Overlap (if you have multiple series) and the Gap Width.
