Thanks for your response.

I finally had some time to dig deeper.  My real concern was that I had originally purchased the MS package on an annual basis for the last 3 years, and if I were to uninstall PPT would I be able to get a reinstall, and would the license be the same?  After looking and looking for that info....   I found zip.

I did delete PPT and the associated files in the Containers and trusted (fingers crossed), that the license of a new download from MS would link to what I have for Word and Excel.   It did!

Thanks for your help!

    Hi James

The crash log says:  Library not loaded: @***h/m****.framework/Versions/A/m****ui

This implies that the installation of PowerPoint is incomplete or Mac OS is misbehaving,.

Let's start by checking the file system.

If you have TechTools Pro (not free) use it to verify your startup drive. TechTools Pro 13 is Big Sur compatible. TechTools is the only disk maintenance utility that I know of that is Big Sur compatible so far. If you do not have TechTools, use Apple’s Disk Utility application.

After verifying the startup volume, go to the Applications folder and drag Microsoft PowerPoint.app to the trash. Then download the PowerPoint installer and run it to reinstall PowerPoint

    Install package

This will completely rule out installation issues. You will notice the first time you run PowerPoint after reinstalling that Mac OS verifies the installation, which guarantees that the install is exactly what Microsoft provided.

I expect that taking the above actions will rectify the problem, but if there is a bad Mac OS user account or a faulty install of Mac OS, then we may have to take it a bit further. Please reply with the results.

    Hi James,

Thanks for your patience and sharing the above details error with us, we’ll try our best to help you troubleshoot it.

It seems that the issue only happens on PowerPoint for Mac, given this situation, we suggest you try launch safe mode in Mac to see the result.

Also try to remove the folder like ~/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.PowerPoint (you can press Shift + Command +G to find the folder) to remove corrupt caches of the app and check it again.

    1. Your current Mac OS version. Please click Apple menu> capture the screenshot of “About This Mac”.
    2. Is that all presentations or just the specific presentation cannot launch? Or PowerPoint application has the issue?

Welcome to share any information with us, we are here to further investigate it.😊
