You can insert a section break of the type you want, select it and then copy it to the clipboard. Then replace ^m with ^c (= clipboard content). Click Replace All.

Why do you want to do this?

It adds a lot of complexity to your document.

It is likely that you can accomplish what you want without changing these to section breaks. i.e, look at the StyleRef Field.

The reason I was asking, because every time I was using the paragraph collapse feature, it was collapsing the next page as well.  Even though each page was separated by a page break, it wasn't operating they way I thought it should.  Anyway, changing all of the page breaks to section breaks has fixed to fine, but I will surely look into the use of the StyleRef Field.

So, am I sure I need the section breaks, well not entirely sure, but it has solved the problem I was facing.

I do not think you need the section breaks. You are adding a great deal of complexity to your document without a good reason.

It may seem like a good reason but you are curing a hangnail with a hatchet! I promise you, you will regret it.

Learn how the paragraph collapse feature works.

    1. It only works on outline level paragraphs like headings.
    2. A heading 1 paragraph, when collapsed, will collapse all content until the next heading 1.
    3. A heading 2 paragraph, when collapsed, will collapse all content until the next heading 1 or heading 2.
    4. A heading 3 paragraph, when collapsed, will collapse all content until the next heading 1 or heading 2 or heading 3, etc.

You could start each logical section with a Heading 1 and set that style to have a page break before.

    I'm glad I could help.

Charles makes a good point, though. Are you sure that you need the section breaks? It is often safer not to have too many section breaks in a document, unless you really, really have to.
