Can we control or set the OUTSIDE margins around the exteriors of MS WORD text boxes?

I am formatting a complex document of over 300 pages, with as many graphical illustrations. I want to know whether I can adjust the OUTSIDE MARGINS or WHITE SPACE surrounding the outside of Text Boxes.

I'm very well exercised about what goes on INSIDE Text Boxes. I don't need attention to that. It's the OUTSEIDES of Text Boxes that seem often to take up critical space in a complex document like the one I'm working on right now.

Any help about this will be appreciated.

Select the text box. Click the text box border and choose More Layout Options from the context menu. In the Layout dialog box, go to the Text Wrapping tab and change the options for "Distance from text" (see screen shot).

Stefan, my thanks. I also notice, now that you've gotten me a bit educated,

that sometimes the "More Layout Options" will jump up to the ribbon under Text Box.

Thank you again. I've been using MS Word for about twenty years, and never found that function.

    Best, butch casanova
