I'm looking for a simple way to create code39 barcodes in word and/or excel.
Are there any fonts or add-ins that are available to download?

You can download a free Code39 barcode font from Free Barcode Font - Code 39 or Code 39
To create a barcode in Word or Excel, type the alphanumeric characters for the barcode and enclose them in asterisks.
For example, if you want a barcode for ABC123, type *ABC123*. Then apply the barcode font to this text.
