HOW TO COPY A LABEL AND RESIZE TO FIT INTO A PUBLISHER TEMPLATE

I have 2 publisher documents opened simultaneously:

Document A  is a custom  label designed from start on a blank 8.5 x 11 page

Document B   is an Avery template set up with 2 rows and 2 columns on and 8.5 by sheet specifically designed for this application.

I would like know how to resize the custom label so that it can be copied and fit into each box on the Avery template

I would appreciate some direction in how to solve my problem

Thank You

Joe

If the label you designed is the same size as the Avery label then you can just copy it and paste it on the Avery label template.

If it is different size you could save the original design as a picture (I prefer PNG) and then insert it on the Avery label, resizing the picture to fit. You cannot just take a combination of text boxes and pictures and other elements that are part of your custom label design and just scale all those elements to fit at one time...unless you convert to a picture first.

Probably the best approach is to simply rebuild the custom label on the Avery template.

Once you have the Avery label template created you just print multiple copies of the single label. Based on the Avery label chosen, Publisher will know how many copies to print for sheet of those specific labels.

Here is a link to to several articles about creating and printing labels including mail merge for further study: https://support.microsoft.com/search/results?query=labels+Publisher&isEnrichedQuery=true&src=as

Thank you very much for your advice regarding copying the label to a PNG file and shrink it to fit my template.

I was attempting to shrink all objects at once many times thinking that I was doing something incorrectly.

I also search the internet and attempted a few suggestions with failure.  All the solutions provided were very complicated and did not work.

Your solution was very simple and quick. Once the label was save as PNG it took a few minutes to accomplish my goal

Since I donot use is product on a regular basis  I  documenting the procedure for future reference

    thank you again
