A family of Microsoft presentation graphics products that offer tools for creating presentations and adding graphic effects like multimedia objects and special effects with text.
Hi, Lori! Let me clarify your question. Are you looking for a way to:
1. Generate a URL for a specific slide in a presentation stored in the Cloud so that remote collaborators can access it?
OR
- Create a link in a presentation that a viewer can click on in order to jump to a specific slide?
It looks like everybody here's responded to Question 1. If you're really after an answer to Question 2, then you're describing a Hyperlink or Action. Although either command can be used to create the button, links are more obvious when you use the Hyperlink. When the user hovers the mouse over an object with an applied Hyperlink in Slide Show view, the cursor changes into a pointing finger, which doesn't happen with an object with an applied Action.
Here's how to apply a Hyperlink to an object:
- Insert a shape, icon, or graphic into your presentation that will serve as the clickable button.
- **PC instructions:**Right-click on the object and select Link/Insert Link on the flyout menu. Select Place in This Document/Slide Title/[title of slide you want to link to]. Click OK.
- Mac instructions: Right-click on the object and select Hyperlink on the flyout menu. Select This Document/Slide Titles/[title of slide you want to link to]. Click OK
Ta-da!
