How to format text in Word (original title: how to manipulate ms word's document properties)

i have asked this question before folks.  I'm trying to do ONE simple thing in ms word:

=> create my own headings for text.  so here's what I'm looking to do, and I don't care how it gets done:

  1. DOCUMENT TITLE HERE (centered text).
  2. 2 lines underneath #1, a section heading (left-aligned).   [Moderator's note: changed "header" to "heading"]
  3. 1 line underneath #2, a section of text.
  4. repeat process #1-3 10 times.

for some reason, my alignment efforts are not getting recognized.  I have 50 million pieces of software to learn.  how can I get this done the easiest?   thanks.

no cindy, I don't.  see the message of mine after this one:

i've found a workaround that doesn't take much time and doesn't make me stupid and insane.  thanks.  =)

You might  be happier with WordPad or NotePad, which I have referred to in descending order of features to learn.

If you're going to use a piece of software, you really do yourself and those relying on your work a disservice if you don't at least learn the basics. The easiest way to do what you want is to learn those basics.

I have 50 million pieces of software to learn.

It seems to me that, in this case at least, you're not even interested in learning the basics, which would only take a short while for what you say you want to do.

Formatting content as centered or left-aligned is hardly rocket science (and requires way less effort than treating Word as a typewriter); neither is copying & pasting that content multiple times.

Learn to use Styles. This has nothing to do with Document Properties!

    Importance of Styles in Word

    • Title style - set to be formatted the way you want.
    • Heading 1 style - modify to be formatted the way you want including space before and after
    • Normal or Body Text style for your text

This is really not that hard but you do have to invest the time to learn how Word works. It is not a typewriter. It is not any other program you are used to using. It is Word.

Note. You may have asked this before, but I can't find that question nor what the suggestions were at that time. It would help if you provided a link.
