Cannot type using Poppins font in Word

Hi,

recently I've installed Poppins font (it's a free font), I see it in the fonts list and I can choose it, but when I start typing Word changes the font to Time New Roman.

If I select some text and convert it to Poppins it works, but when I try to change or add text in the converted paragraph Word prints what I type in Times New Roman.

I'm experiencing this issue on two different PC, both with windows 10 20H2 but one with Office 2016 and the other with Office 2019.

Any help will be very appreciated.

    Dear Genevieve,

    I've done some more test and I think to have found out what causes the issue, in my opinion it's not the font.

    I've noticed that this issue is present only when I set my Language Preferences to English (Europe), if I set Language Preferences to something else, like English (United States), everything works as expected.

    This are my Language settings:

    Which build and version of Office and Windows OS you are using?

    Are you working in an organizational environment?

    This PC is not in a domain and not managed

    Could you verify how you tried to download the Poppins font and where you downloaded it?
