How do I split a single powerpoint slide into equal sizes

Hi,

I can not seem to find how to take a single slide and sub divide it equally into 8 parts. So 2 rows of 4 rectangles, all equal sizes.

Does anyone know how to do this ?

I've tried

  • searching for add-ins
  • templates
  • training videos

Thanks

Thanks but IMO using a calculator would indicate you are doing something the hard way, and there must be an easier one.

Is there a way to sub divide the page ? I would like a way to do this where

    1. I don't have to do any calculations
    2. I don't have to manually arrange boxes on a slide

Anyway it's much easier to do it by creating a table with 4x2 cells. Then resize the table to fill slide. But like I said I would prefer to sub divide the page, or have the grid split to % of page rather than abstract measurements ie paper size, when I am not using paper.

    Thanks

A 16:9 slide is 13.33" x 7.5". So divide 13.33 by 4 and divide 7.5 by 2. Draw a rectangle 3.33" wide and 3.75" tall. Copy it, then paste 7 times. Arrange to fill the slide.

If you don't want to use shapes, you can use guides instead.

Apologies, I had a method with the table and was asking if there was a more correct way to obtain my objective, thanks for the advice.

    Hi,

Thanks for answering, so the intention is to have a single slide that would have 8 images/text boxes of equal sizes on it.

All arranged with no borders, filling 100-% of the slide, 4 columns in 2 rows. I can do it with a table, and then overlay the text box or image over the top of the cell, but would like to know how to subdivide a page. Presumably what ever method is applicable to my problem could then apply/scale to NxM subdivisions.

    Thanks

    Marcus

That additional information was not in your question.
