Hi, murray d paul:
Based on your description, we understand that you got the error **"Sorry, we can't connect to your account. Please try again later"**when you activate Office from Office 365. This issue might be caused by one of several circumstances. Follow these steps to help troubleshoot the issue. After each step, check to see whether the issue is fixed. If not, proceed to the next step.
1.Check whether you are behind a firewall or whether you are behind a proxy server:
Please temporarily turn off the proxy service or firewall or VPN and try to activate your Office again.

- Review the details under the Subscriptions heading or Cancelled subscriptions heading.
- If your subscription has expired, you can renew it.
3.Clear Office for Mac cache:

(Please note that the two Office credential caches must be hidden. To unhide the 2 caches, click on "show visible items" in the "Keychain" menu top bar (keychain -> view -> "show visible items") Once the hidden items are visible, search for "Office" and you will see below 2 items listed. )
- In the search field, enter office.
Select the items that are named Microsoft Office Identities Cache 2 and Microsoft Office Identities Settings 2, and then press Delete. In some situations, they are Microsoft Office Identities Cache 3 and Microsoft Office Identities Settings 3.
