Simply just something I wanted to know out of curiosity. Would be useful if you're trying to paste a background picture and you want it to fit exactly.

    The most common sizes are:

    Widescreen 13.333" x 7.5"

    Standard 10" x 7.5"

Old Widescreen (from PowerPoint 2010 and earlier): 10" x 5.63" These are the same proportions as new widescreen, so a picture that fits new widescreen will also fit this.

there is no fixed slide size. The default used to have 4:3 aspect ratio since most beamers provided that; now it's widescreen.

On the Design tab of the ribbon, select Slide Size to see what you're using; click Custom Slide Size... if necessary.
