Downloading the version history

I have a 365 document with many versions in the history. I want to download a copy of each version including its version date so I can show our progress on a project.

Is there any way to download the entire history so individual files are created?

    Hi Kerrie,

Thank you for posting your query in our community.

Based on your description, you want to download the version histories for a Word document. You can try the following steps:

    1. Open the file you want to view(open the file in the Word client).
    2. Click File > Info > Version history.
    3. Select a version to open it in a separate window.
    4. Then click Save As to save this version as a new separate file.

And honestly, there is no out of box way to download all the versions at once, so you may need to do it manually.

    Appreciate your understanding.

    Best regards,

    Jazlyn
