Syncing List items across multiple lists

My company has multiple locations, and is frequently adding more. Instead of having a giant List with 1000+ columns, we want separate lists for each department, with a shared/linked Location column to a master location list. That way, when a new location is added or a location name is changed, a new item is added to all of the other lists automatically.

In addition, we want other columns linked (such as location phone number or manager), that way different departments have access to one true source of information that only has to be updated in one place.

Is there a way for us to do this?

    Hi intalleyvision,

If the list is stored in the same site, then to achieve your requirement, you can create relationships between lists by using Lookup column.

Lookup column is a column type that allows you to connect a list or a library to a column from another list or library you have on your site and also pull in other information from that other list and display it in the list you are connecting from.

If you want more control and customization, you can consider using Lookup column in Power Automate.  While searching, I found the following similar posts that might help.

copy list itmes column value to another column sharepoint online

How to link two columns of two sharepoint lists from two different sites?

If you need any help creating workflow in Power Automate, we’ll suggest you post in Microsoft Power Automate Community for expert assistance. This is a specific channel related to issues with Power Automate.

The reason we request ask you to post a new thread is that in Answers forum, we have limited resources and very little knowledge about Power Automate and in Microsoft Power Automate Community, you will get the most qualified pool of respondents, and other partners who read the forums regularly can either share their knowledge or learn from your interaction.

We appreciate your understanding and co-operation.

    With sincerest regards,
