I have an account with Office 365 A1 for students by my school.

I cannot download Offline Office on my PC.

I want to ask that is offline Office free for students? or we have to use the online version.

When I visited the Office 365 Education Sign-up page, it says

If I sign in, will my old Office 365 account will be deleted? I currently use Teams so will my account be re-created?

Will my administrator be informed?

As an individual user, you should purchase Microsoft 365 Personal (if you want a subscription) or Microsoft Home & Student (if you prefer a one-time payment license). Note that Home & Student does not include Outlook; Home & Business does include Outlook, if you need that program. See https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/buy/compare-all-microsoft-365-products.

    Hi Divyansh

Your school would have to purchase A1 plus for you to be able to download office.

    Regards,

    Momo

    This website - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/education/deploy/office-365-education-self-sign-up says that -

In this scenario, if a student, faculty, or staff already has a work or school account in the tenant (for example, contoso.edu) but does not yet have Office 365 A1 Plus, Microsoft will simply activate the plan for that account, and the student, faculty, or staff will automatically be notified of the additional services, including the ability to download Office 365 ProPlus.

I tried it on the following web page - https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/education/products/office

It simply said that No need, you already have Office 365

Then when I tried again to download Office 365, it only shows Skype for Business, not other apps.

    What can I do ?

Am I not eligible for free Office 365? Does my school needs to pay something to Microsoft so that I can get Office 365?
