Theme Colors Excel Desktop vs Excel Online

Does anyone know how to change the theme in Excel Online? I have changed the colors in Excel Desktop, and they display fine in Excel online for already formatted cells, but when working in Excel Online to format new cells we see the default Office theme, not our custom color theme.

When you open in Desktop app, the colors use our custom generated theme colors:

Any ideas how to fix this? And also how to save color themes with the document rather than the user profile? When I send this file to someone else they don't see the custom theme:

    Hi Allison5280:

According to my investigation, the theme setting does not apply to the web version of Excel.

However, you can apply your custom theme to a blank workbook and then save it as a template named Book.xltx. More information for you to reference:Change a theme and make it the default in Word or Excel (microsoft.com)

    Best regards,
