I own a small business that sometimes requires my clients to upload sensitive documents to me. I know that there are some apps out there like www.mydocsonline.com but why open an account with a new vendor if I can get the job done with my existing Office /OneDrive subscription? Is there a simple and secure way to send a client a link via email and (s)he can then upload personal documents directly to me via One Drive or another MS Office app?
Thanks in advance.

Yes.

OneDrive uses a HTTPS connection from the computer to OneDrive, encrypting the content while it travels between the 2 computers. So that part is secure.

You can create a special folder for each customer, or a generic one they all upload to (go with separate folders).
.
The you grant them "Share/Edit" access to that specific folder only
