How can you insert the square root symbol in Microsoft Word?

In Word Document

Tap on Insert top of the monitor. Tap on Symbolright side of the strip. Tap on More symbolsin the container that appears.

A site shows this information and when I type this nothing appears. is I am doing any wrong thing? please guide me.

    You have omitted the second part of the instructions you link to:

    Tap on the “Subset” that is displayed. Choose “Mathematical operators” placed in the third line. Tap “Insert.” The radical symbol will show in your text/Document.
