Documents default to printing on both sides of the paper.

Adding to Bob's Mac-specific comments, it is also possible, but not likely, that this is in your printer settings and not controlled by the dialogs. Again, this is highly unlikely. (In more than thirty years of trouble-shooting, I think I've seen this twice.)

When using Mac Word, in the Print dialog: Open the Copies & Pages menu.

Depending on your printer driver you may see Two-Sided Printing Settings listed. If so, select it & turn the feature Off.

If that isn't listed, select Layout instead, then turn the feature Off there.

In the event that neither is the case it would be best to contact the support group for your printer. Duplex printing is a function of the printer, not the program.

    Great, but:

    • Are you [GarryBond] & MartyBond one in the same? Please don't use separate usernames.
    • Which Reply are you actually responding to?... it appears that you did not select one, &
    • If a reply does resolve the issue, for the benefit of others please mark it as having done so.

    Hello,

My name is Charles Kenyon and I am an Independent Advisor in this forum . This forum is a user-to-user support forum. I am a fellow user with decades of experience using Microsoft Word. I have written extensively on using Word and have help articles on the Microsoft site.

This depends on your printer and printer driver software. Is you printer designed to print on both sides?

When you are on the print dialog, do you see a setting "Print one side only" or something similar? Can you drop it down to show choices? What choices do you see?

The screenshot below is from the Windows version, but you should see something similar.

    I hope this information helps.

I like to also provide this link about Ransomware even though it has nothing to do with your question:
