Hello!

I have just bought a new iPad Pro 11 2021 to replace my old Sony Laptop. I thought it would be simple to download the Office 365 from the Apple app -even pay 5.99 per month( which I thought a con). I find that Office 365 for Mac is completely different! There is no added grammar feature like there is on my Windows Office- there is no way to adjust from normal print lines to 1.5 or double spaced lines. I found out that I cannot have the use of the built -in-Thesaurus on windows office. It’s completey different form of Office 365 on Windows than there is on Apple -Mac and used on IPad Pro 11 2021. Is there anyway I can download a Office 365 package on my new IPad Pro 11 2921 tablet like the one i used on my old Windows office 365 on my old Windows Laptop.

    Hello Stefan,

I thank you for you’re reply to my question. I did download the MS Office for the Apple IPad Pro. It is then I discovered that the download version of MS Office for android, tablet were not the same as the Office I had already on Windows Office on my laptop. I was hoping to use my new IPad Pro 11 for my work I once done on my old device. I did not think that the new IPad Pro 11 with Mark one chip would not be able to carry my work burden.

    Best regards

    Paul Owen

Yes, Office looks and works differently on all of the various OS's it works on Windows, mac, ipad, android.

Office depends on the underlying OS for many display standards and user conventions; "look and feel" of the applications.

    .

In theory, you could run the "Parallels" virutal machine program on your ipad. You may then be able to run Windows and Office in Windows on the ipad. This is all theory, I've never tried it myself

The big difference is between mobile devices on the one hand and desktops/laptops on the other hand.

However, you'll notice that there are some differences between Word/Office for "ordinary" Mac OS (on an iMac, for example) and Word for Windows as well.

With a subscription version, you can install on multiple devices (but you won't be able to use more than five of them simultaneously).

Office programs are a lot less capable when you are running them on mobile devices (Android phones and tablets, iPads, iPhones).

For full functionality, you have to use your subscription and install Office under Mac OS or Windows.
