How to remove all trailing blank lines in an Excel worksheet?

I have an Excel worksheet containing many lines of data followed by many blank lines. I hope I can navigate to the bottom of data by pressing Ctrl-End, but since there are many blank lines after the data, the cursor actually goes to the last blank line, rendering me nothing but a whole white screen. So, I want to delete these trailing blank lines. I select the first blank line and press Shift-Ctrl-End, so it looks to me that all trailing blank lines are selected. But after clicking Home -> Delete -> Delete Sheet Rows, these lines still remain there; not a single line was deleted. What's the matter? What do I do to remove these annoying trailing blank lines in an Excel worksheet? I'm using Office Professional Plus 2019 on Windows 10 PC.

I'm facing right now the same issue, I found the following two solutions:

    1. rather long and boring, not tested - you can select the rows (not the cells) to delete and, of course, delete them
    2. way smarter - select rows or cells you want to keep and copy them to a new sheet

I was asking: without add-on or VBA code, is there absolutely no way to remove trailing blank rows in a sheet?

Does your reply suggest that this task is so hard (e.g., I have to accomplish it by writing VBA code) (I would be very surprised that it is a hard task) that I have to install an add-on to do it easily?

For most users writing any VBA code is a difficult or impossible task, so using an add-on is a completely code free solution. Unfortunately advise isn't generally given here on how to write complete code segments.
