How do I see the tasks from MS Project in the "To Do" App section "affected to me"?

Hi,

I am currently testing the MS Project 3 app.

I assign tasks to some team members through MS Project.

My issue is that those tasks (assigned through MS Project) are not visible in the To Do app ("affected to me") of my team members.

I am very surprised! Is it a normal limitation or is there any parameter to change?

Thanks a lot

    Tina --

I believe your assumption is wrong. Project for the Web (which you call Project) and Microsoft To Do are two separate applications that do not integrate with one another "out of the box" so to speak. That is why your project cannot see their Project for the Web tasks in the Microsoft To Do app. Sorry, but hope this helps.

    Hi Segolene Menin,

Thank you for posting back and confirming the scenario with us.

We have finished tests in Project for the web app and To Do app.

As Dale Howard pointed out, the tasks created in Project for the web app and assigned to you or other team members won't appear in the To Do app, because they are 2 separate applications and don't integrate with each other.

Very sorry for the inconvenience caused. We do understand it affects your work and apologize for it.

Given this situation, we sincerely recommend sharing your valuable feedback to Project feedback community and Microsoft To Do community.

Other users also noticed this limitation. You may also vote for these similar ideas:

Integrate with “Project for the web”

My assigned tasks from “Project for the web” to show up in “Assigned to me” like we can with “Planner”.

This is the best way to let the developers know which features are important to you, know your requirements and comments, help to improve the product and make it better for you and others.

    Your understanding is highly appreciated.

Hope you have a safe and happy new year!

    Best regards,

    Tina

    Hi Tina,

    Thanks for your answer.

I assumed that a task assigned to someone (maybe it be to myself or a team member) on MS Project would automatically be visible in the MS To Do app in the section "assigned to me section".

    Is it correct?

If yes, then I do have a problem.

I am the only person in my company using MS Project (trial version of 1 month).

I assigned on MS Project some tasks to me and some others to my team members.

Unfortunately none of us can see our MS Project tasks in our To Do app in the section "assigned to me section".

Let me know if anything remains unclear.

    Best,

    Hi Segolene Menin,

Thank you for querying in this forum.

According to your description, you have Project Plan 3, you assigned tasks to team members.

To better understand the situation and help you, we'd like to confirm is the issue that

you cannot see the tasks that are assigned to team members when you try to add tasks in the To Do app?

Or is the issue that the team members cannot see the tasks that are assigned to him from the To Do app?

At the same time, please allow us some time to test and check the behavior from our end. We will post back as soon as we have any update.

We appreciate your patience and understanding. Hope you are keeping safe and well.

    Best regards,

    Tina
