How to get Excel charts x-axis to scale with the data

How do I scale the x-axis in a chart according to data values?

For example, if my x-axis values are .25, .5 and 1, I would like the space between .25 and .5 to be half the space between .5 and 1. Right now they're always the same space apart.

    Hi LeRoy!

I'm Jen, and I'd be happy to help you out with this issue.

Right click on the x-axis, select Format axis, go to the Number section, then select 'Number' in the drop down, select the number of places in the 'Decimal Places' then click OK.

I hope this information helps. If you have any questions, please let me know and I'd be glad to assist you further.

    Best Regards!

    Jen :)
