You could turn off this extremely "****" modern comments feature here! what a stupid feature, a backward step of human revolution!

I am getting the following error message whenever I insert comments in Word 365.
"This comment thread contains content that's not yet supported. Select it to view it in the Revisions pane."
Please help how I can turn off this error message because It disrupts readers of my comments. Thank you.

This "feature" shows up even when you paste text into a comment USING PLAIN TEXT (as the comments below were) - what could possibly be unsupported in that - there is no, as you say, "other content"?? Please find a way to turn this off because it takes up twice as much room as a comment should and they show up on EVERY SINGLE COMMENT. This is SO INCREDIBLY ANNOYING.
Correct. It is now possible to disable the modern comments (in subscription versions of Office, at least). But this is a temporary option, according to Microsoft.
If these are the so-called modern comments, note that they do not support images (for example).
Which version of Word/Office are you running?
Dear Stefan,
Thank you for prompt response. Yes I am using modern comments in Office 365. I have not posted any images in the comments. Can you advise also how I can disable modern comments in Office 365?
I mentioned images as an example. It appears that you have added other content which, in a similar way, is not supported.
I haven't found an option to turn the new comments on or off. However, it seems that Microsoft has (temporarily) gone back to the older comments design, at least in version 2109 of Office. Make sure that your installation is fully updated (File > Account > Update > Update Now).
