How do i embed a picture watermark in a word document.

I am trying to create a Word template with an image watermark as a background with editable text over top of that.

It works great on my own machine. But when I email the template out to others, the image does not show up.

How can I embed the image watermark into the file so it can be opened by anyone, anywhere?

    I had used a pdf for the watermark image. When my coworker, who is on a PC, tried to open the file and relink the watermark the pdf was not showing up as a useable format.

    I had to save the background watermark image as a jpg. He was then able to update the watermark on his PC.

    For whatever reason the PC version did not accept PDF as an acceptable format for the watermark image.

    It's likely that the recipients are double-clicking the attachment icon which essentially provides a preview of the document. However, it doesn't support some aspects of the file. Make sure the recipients are saving the attachment locally then opening the saved document with Word or a compatible program.

    My understanding is that's correct... Unlike macOS the Windows OS doesn't recognize PDF as an image file type.

    The image does not show up where? How are they viewing it?

    A watermark is in the Header.

    It will not show up in the editing view of the Online version or mobile versions. It will show up in Reading view.

    If they print, does it print?
