Project Online date formatting still incorrect even after I changed my language & region settings

Hi

I have a project in Project Online and the dates are all showing US formatting (mm/dd/yyyy) I have changed the language & region settings in my account to the format I want (English UK), I have refreshed, logged in and out and tried to re-enter some dates but it is still reverting to the US formatting.

When I open the project in the desktop app for editing the dates are in the correct format that I want, but just not in Project Online.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Thank you for spending time doing test and sharing the detailed steps and confirming the scenario with us.

    We have finished tests of changing Date format in Project Online, we find we can reproduce the same situation as you describe. Although we have set UK date format, but the dates in projects still display as US date format. We have waited 24 hours but date format still doesn't change.

    We are very sorry that this behavior causes much inconvenience and apologize for it. In this situation, we sincerely recommend you let your Microsoft 365 admin go to create a support ticket in Microsoft 365 Admin Center > Support > New service request. The support team there has the correct escalation channel for this case. They have higher permission to check this situation from background and do investigation further. This is also the most efficient way in handling this kind of case for you.

    Thank you for querying in this forum.

    According to your description, you have changed date format to English(UK) dd/mm/yyyy in language & region settings, but you find the dates in a project in Project Online are still showing US date formatting mm/dd/yyyy.

    Just now I also tried to test from my side, I find it seems like I can reproduce the same behavior as you describe, the dates format in project doesn't change. Very sorry for the inconvenience caused. I deeply understand this behavior has affected your daily work.

    In case it helps, the exact steps I took to try and solve this were the following:

    From the Project Centre page I clicked my name in the top right corner > View account > Settings & Privacy and this is what the screen shows under the Language & Region tab.

    As you can see that even though I'm unable to change the display language, English (United Kingdom) is listed there.

    Also I wanted to flag that there is no English (United Kingdom) option when changing the regional format so I had to choose English (Europe) and then selected the dd/mm/yyyy setting.

    These are the steps I took which have not resolved the issue. Thank you for looking into this and I look forward to your reply.
