Did I miss an informative email somewhere?

I always had enough storage and now all of a sudden i am 200Gb over my storage.

I went to my billing and I have always paid for "OneDrive +100" (Whatever that is, but this month it has changed to "OneDrive Standalone 100gb".

What is with the name change - is it a different thing - have they recently changed subscription packages and why will I "lose access to my files on or after 30 dec unless i take action?

    Hello MarionWalker-Campbell,
I am Jaspreet Singh an independent advisor.
There is just a name change from onedrive +100 to onedrive standalone 100gb nothing else has changed.
You may have synced more files than you had storage for which is why you are getting over the storage limit message.
Visit www.onedrive.com in your device browser and check if you are actually going above the space limit (left hand below corner will show you a bar with the used storage out of total storage) if you are going above the limit reduce the files that are being kept on onedrive.

Ron: You didn't answer Sarah's Question! I too was charged twice in December for my One Drive Storage: $1.99 on December 6th and then 1.99 on December 14th for 100 GB of One Drive Standalone Storage. Why the double bill??? I was wondering if someone had hacked my account. Do you have an explanation for the double billing? I have not been able to determine a way to contact Microsoft about this double bill. Any suggestions? For now, I turned off my auto payment and enrolled in two-step verification for the account.

Microsoft, why did you take storage space away without notification? I had 5gb free and a 10gb increase with the 100gb plan for a total 115gb allocation space.
I had 115gb available last month and was using 83%. Now that I lost the extra 15gb with the 'only the name changed' plan, I only have 100gb available. I'm using 96% and it wont allow me to sync to even use the full 100gb storage space.

I was finally able to contact Microsoft Support via Live Chat. I learned that the monthly billing for my One Drive +100 that was paid on 12/6/2021 was actually covering Nov. 14th-December 14th (evidently my monthly renewal date is the 14th of the month). The 2nd billing on 12/14/21 was payment for the New One Drive Standalone 100GB. The technician indicated that all future auto pays will be done the same day as my renewal date which in my case is the 14th of the month. Seems they should have notified customers that they were making a change in advance. Since I never receive a bill, I had no idea what service dates were being covered with each payment. Microsoft One Drive +100 is no longer supported, therefore the change.

Hi All you get for $1.99 is 100GBs That is it. You need to change to Microsoft 365 Personal or Family. You could share the cost with others See: OneDrive (live.com) Left hand panel 'learn More About Storage Plans'
