    Hi Dhruv,
My name is Igor, I have 12 Microsoft MVP awards. It's a pleasure for me to help others and I'll do all my best to help you. I'm sorry you have a problems.

Seems you are talking about corporate environment. It is more effective to ask such questions at Q&A forum https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/index....
It is oriented to admins and corporate users, and this forum - to home users so local experts may have no corresponding knowledge, sorry.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

    Igor-

What about this post suggests that this is a corporate type post? Due to Firewalls being mentioned?

I have a MacBook Pro with the latest version of the OS running. SMB port 445 ( microsoft-ds) is currently open and running on my home network. I have zero Windows Applications installed on my MacBook Pro.

There is an associated user 'SMB' with this service. The SMB user has my MacBook Pro rooted.

It appears that I may have a severe security issue considering I am an Apple user, not Microsoft.

Please clarifiy the "corporate" response. Thank you.

This seems to be a question about Windows rather than Word, so a post in a Windows forum would be more productive.
