Slide Libraries for SP Online

Greetings. I've read a few threads in which users have asked about PowerPoint Slide Libraries for Sharepoint. I understand that supposedly Co-Authoring is the new cool. What would it take and how many users asking for it would it take to get this functionality back in newer versions of Sharepoint (such as Online)? Yes, Co-Authoring is useful, but it doesn't provide what Slide Libraries do - which is the ability for an organization to maintain a stockpile of commonly used slides separately that are easily searchable and updated for presentations. The issue with CoAuthoring is that you're dealing with an entire slideshow as you know. With Slide Libraries, you can name each individual slide and search for it later (vs having to remember which previous presentation contained a useful slide). Slide Libraries offer just about everything Co-Authoring does, in addition to the ability to index individual or one-off slides.

Please, bring this back. I'd bet that you'd get ZERO complaints and lots of kudos. Thanks.

    Stacey,

Thanks for your prompt response. I've read the article you provided above. Unfortunately, it doesn't offer any solutions; it only reiterates what's already known - which is that Slide Libraries aren't available in new platforms.

How do I submit the feedback you suggested I do, other than doing what I'm currently doing posting here? I'm pretty sure that there's ample appetite across the Sharepoint/Powerpoint user communities for the discreet/individual slide manipulation functionality available in the former slide libraries. Does it just take a critical mass of users commenting on topics to bring it to Microsoft's attention?

    As always, thanks.

    Paul
