OneNote for the Web does not work on my Chromebook

So when I try to open the first OneNote notebook that is in my OneDrive (total of 5 notebooks), going to "www.onenote.com" and signing in works. But when I try to open another notebook, I get into this infinite loop where the browser looks for files in OneDrive, then an error message appears, "OneNote is no longer supported. Go to OneNote.com". When I click that, the browser looks for the file in OneDrive but ends up at the same place "OneNote is no longer supported. Go to OneNote.com."

Please advise!

I had the same problem. I uninstalled all the office apps that are no longer supported on chromebook and it still didn't force it to use the online version, kept telling me to install from the app store. Finally I uninstalled OneDrive android app on the chrome book, now the on-line version works. hope it works for you. Seems you can still install OneDrive from PlayStore, but it will break OneNote Web version.

    Bernd P.:

Thanks for the reply. See the following post. I didn't understand your post until I learned about uninstalling all MS apps on Chromebook, which forces/enables MS browser/web apps to function on the Chromebook.

I will never use a Chromebook again. I am too used to MS/Office apps to go away now. This is disappointing in many ways, but I'm too old to change!

Thank you again for your reply!

Thanks for the informative reply! I deleted OneDrive and Skype from my Chromebook, and OneNote seems to work! Thank you!

I still will never use a Chromebook again. Its limited support life and the trouble using MS OneNote are enough to turn me off to Chromebooks.

I was looking for a cheap, lightweight travel laptop, but if it doesn't use my apps, I can't use it!

    Thanks again for your post!!
