So, Excel 2021 has been released, and contains new functions such as XLOOKUP() and LET()

But, will LAMBDA() function be added to Excel 2021?

...and if so, when?

    Many thanks....

Yes, I've tried asking Microsoft directly... I'll post back here if I get anything definite.

I do hope Excel 2021 is updated. I want LAMBDA() and I want it in a stand-alone, non-subscription, package from Microsoft.

But if Excel 2021 remains as shipped - with LET() but no LAMBDA() - I suspect I'll be waiting a long time...

    ...Excel 2023 or 2024 I'm guessing....

if the function exists in the insider and beta channels, then rest assured we shall see its release while we still have the juice for it.

    Hello J,

On these user channels, No one really knows when Microsoft will provide the Lambda function in the new release. They have collected feedback from insiders though and probably when it will be released, the insider channels may have the first go at it. What we can do is keep up with the news on releases and hopefully, communication on the same will come through. You could also post the query on the support channel https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office .

    Kind regards.
