When I hit save as on my powerpoint I do not get any prompts. How do I save a file to a flash drive. I also cannot click on a presentation where it lists my pp presentations and drag them to the file.

    Hi, Teresa.

I understand that you are unable to move your file to the flash drive.

    1. Does this problem only happen with pptx file or does it happen with other files as well?
    2. Has this problem started recently?

See if you can save the file to a local folder and then move it to the flash drive.

If the problem persists try updating powerpoint to a newer version and then repairing the update.

    Update

Open Powerpoint → Go to File → Accounts → Product Information → Update Options → Update Now.

    Repair

Click the Start button → Settings → Applications → Choose Microsoft Office and click the Modify button → Select Repair Online and then click the Repair button → Restart your computer.

Then see if the problem persists.

Does the upper left of the PowerPoint window look like this:

If so, you're using the web version, which automatically saves files to the web/OneDrive.

In that case, the File | Save As command should give you the option to Download a file. Choose that if you want to save the file to your computer or to a flash drive.
