PowerPoint Freezes when trying to save

Hello. Powerpoint is freezing for up to 5 minutes when i try to save to a new directory (save as). This is even before i get to select any of the options (recent, onedrive, sharepoint, local). No add ins. Can someone please help?

    Does not happen with Excel, Word or any other programs.

    For PPT it happens before i even get to select any directory:

    like I said it then takes up to 5 minutes to load the selection options.

    Happens with new files that i am trying to save for the first time and also independent of whether the file is already saved in any directory (tried desktop, onedrive, sharepoint, network).

    Are you saving to a network drive or the cloud?

    Does the same thing happen if you save from other non-Office programs or copy a file from your desktop to the same location as you're saving a PowerPoint file to?
