I am attempting to install the add-ins in Excel 365., Analysis ToolPak and Solver. The buttons on the ribbon of the Data tab do not appear.

What can I do to fix this issue?

Thank you

Paul

    Hi Paul,

Thank you for posting your query in our community.

Based on your description, you can't see Analysis ToolPak and Solver add-ins under Data Tab. May I know that whether you have installed or checked these add-ins in the Excel Add-ins menu?

If not, you can try the following steps to see the result:

    1. Click the File tab, click Options, and then click the Add-Ins category.
    2. In the Manage box, select Excel Add-ins and then click Go.
    3. In the Add-Ins box, check the Analysis ToolPak check box and Solver Add-in check box, and then click OK.
    4. After you load these two Add-ins, these two commands are available in the Analysis group on the Data tab.

    Notes:

    • If the Add-in is not listed in the Add-Ins available box, click Browse to locate the add-in.
    • If you get prompted that the Add-in is not currently installed on your computer, click Yes to install it.

    Best regards,

    Jazlyn

    Thank you Jazlyn,

I discovered I need to do a somewhat more complex process, of which your suggestion as a part,

    1. Click the file tab, click Data, then place check the box: Enable Data Analysis add-ins: power Pivot, Power View and 3D Maps.
    2. Click Customize Ribbon. Under Main Tabs, click in the box for developer and Add-ins.
    3. Click Add-Ins, and then click Analysis ToolPak, then click OK.
    4. Open the Excel spreadsheet, click the Developers tab.
    5. Under Add-ins, click Excel Add-ins.
    6. Under the Add-ins available, put checks in all boxes, and click Okay.
    7. Close out of the Excel spreadsheet, and then reopen it.
    8. Click on the Data tab, and under Analyze at far right on the toolbar ribbon, Data Analysis and Solver is there.

      I do appreciate you solution.
