Hi

Excuse me

There are a lot of data in my Document Library, I am afraid that one day it will disappear. Is there any way to make a backup of these data?

Does sharepoint have this feature?

Did the following link help me?

    Hi

Thank you for posting the thread on our forum.

Based on your description, it seems that you want to know if there have a way can back up document library files in sharepoint. May I know if my understanding is correct? If not, please feel free to post back.

Generally,  in SharePoint, backups are performed every 12 hours and retained for 14 days. When a user deletes content from a SharePoint site, it’s not deleted immediately. Instead, it’s sent to the site's Recycle Bin, where you can restore the deleted content if needed. If the content is deleted from site Recycle Bin, it’s sent to the Site Collection Recycle Bin. As a SharePoint site collection administrator, you can restore a user’s deleted item from the Second-Stage or Site Collection Recycle Bin to its original location, if the item hasn't exceeded the retention time that the service administrator set. In SharePoint Online, the default is around 90 days.

SharePoint Online retains backups of all content for 14 additional days beyond actual deletion (after the data is deleted from second stage recycle bin). If content cannot be restored via the Recycle Bin or Files Restore, an administrator can contact Microsoft Support to request a restore any time inside the 14-day window. Assisted support Engineers should help you evaluate the period which will be needed to recover the data.

Here are some articles with detailed information:Restore options in SharePoint Online | Microsoft Docs , Restore deleted items from the site collection recycle bin (microsoft.com) and (Cloud) Tip of the Day: SharePoint Online restore options | Microsoft Docs

If lots of your SharePoint files get deleted, you can restore an entire SharePoint document library to a previous time. The restore will undo all the actions that occurred on both files and folders in the last 30 days. Reference: Restore a document library

Hope the informationo can help you. If there have any unclear about the reply, please feel free to post back. We're looking forward to your reply and will help you all the time!

Your understanding and patience will be highly appreciated!

    Best regards,

    Stacey

Your data is stored on OneDrive, and is not on the local PC other than a cached list eg in File Explore the OneDrive folder
