    Hi Tina ;

    Thanks for your quick reply, as you stated, the problem I'm having is exactly like the first scenario you mentioned.

    I voted at the address you specified.

    Through the virtual machine setup you mentioned, a solution to this problem can be found, but for an average user like me, it is not impossible, but it seems close to impossible.

    What I don't understand is why MS Office Windows and Mac versions are not designed with the same features as each other. Is Mac OS a lower profile than Windows in terms of capabilities, that some functions do not work exactly like in Windows OS.

    I wonder if both operating systems are just purely strategic to some events "It is not possible for us to do this kind of operation in the same way as you do in other OS." they want to position their products in the market. If so, it's not ethical at all.

    Such problems continue to be a problem for different users many times and seem to continue.

    Regards ;

    Ömer

    I'm optimistic that at some point this will be addressed.

    The whole idea of linking and embedding is clunky. I hope they take a hard look at the process. I can think of several ways it could be improved.

    Hi Jim ;

    Thank you for your answer. My current need is obviously as follows.

    There are reports that we regularly update and powerpoint presentations that take shape according to these reports. Every time the numbers in the reports change, they need to be changed automatically in the powerpoint file, which forms the basis of the need for the "paste special" function.

    While Excel and Powerpoint can use this function on windows OS and produce work efficiently, it seems pointless to me to convince MS developers that there is no this function in MAC OS and there is a valid, convincing scenario for this function to exist.

    If something has been done, it has already been done because it was necessary. The fact that this works on one platform and not on the other is a negative reality in terms of customer satisfaction.

    We hope that in the near future MS Developers will enable this feature in MAC office, after all we live in a century that claims "We will go to Mars", this is not "rocket science".

    Hi

    After a regular paste of Command-V or Edit > Paste you will have a small button in the lower right corner of the chart. Click that and the link option is first on the menu. Is that what you're look for?

    Hello Sirkeci,

    Thanks for querying in this forum.

    According to your description, it seems like you are trying to copy Excel table and paste into PowerPoint side, but you cannot find Paste link option in Paste Special in PowerPoint for Mac.

    May I know if my understanding of the scenario is right?

    If yes, we're afraid there is no Paste link option in Paste Special in PowerPoint, it's a limitation in PowerPoint for Mac. We do understand the inconvenience caused and feel very sorry about it.

    We could understand your concern and know it would be better user experience if we can have Paste link option in PowerPoint for Mac as that in PowerPoint on Windows.

    Other users also noticed this behavior and they posted an idea in PowerPoint feedback community, we suggest you vote for it: Add Paste Link to Paste Special when Pasting Excel data · Community (microsoft.com) This is the best way to let the developers know which feature is important to you, help improve the product and make it better for you and others.

    In addition, we wish to try best to help you so searched a lot for workaround. If you are willing, you may try following way as workaround:

    You may try to install Windows virtual machine on Mac(for example, Boot Camp), then you can use Windows version of PowerPoint and Excel.

    1.VBA may help you copy Excel table to PowerPoint and also keep link to changes in Excel. If you need further help, we suggest you post a new question in Stack Overflow Community which is the specific channel handling VBA questions, members and experts will assist you further.

    Thanks for your patience and understanding. Hope you are keeping safe and well!

    Best Regards,

    Tina
