Our apps are currently using .NET 4.7.2 and have worked well. We are wondering if we should use one of the more current versions like 6.0? What are the advantages to using 6.0?

For our VB.net apps, should we be using .NET or .NET Core?
It depends if it is for Windows only and if you use some controls that are not compatible with .NET Core (there are many threads about this problem...)
