unable to fix right-to-left/ left-to-right directions in Excel sheet

When creating a new excel sheet, sheet is opening as right to left. I tried to follow up the below steps but looks like it's not saved. once sheet is closed and recreate a new sheet, again sheet comes RTL.

  1. "File" > "More" > "Options" > "Advanced" > Display group changed to "Left-to-right"
  2. Display options for this worksheet unchecked "Show sheet right-to-left" > OK

tried to repair office online and restarted computer, same problem. any recommendations please?

System: Windows 10 Home

    1. Close all instances of Excel
    2. Windows Key+r to invoke Run box - Copy below and paste into Run box and Enter

    %appdata%\Microsoft\Excel\

    1. Now remove all files and folders from here after taking their backup.
    2. Now, you can restart Excel

    Hi Jen,

    thanks for your response. Excel Add-ins & COM Add-ins are disabled. any more suggestions?
