Looking for a shortcut to "paste values" in Excel for Mac

Is there any way to add a shortcut for pasting values in Excel for Mac? In Windows I used to customize my keyboard to work faster and, for example, I used "Ctrl + 2" for pasting values but I cannot find a way to do it in Mac, since pasting values is not an item in the Commands list.

Thank you for your reply Jim! The fastest way I found to get around this issue is actually clicking "Command + Option + V" and then clicking again "V" to paste values. It's two clicks vs one if I had the shortcut. Not what I'd like but close enough!

    Thanks for your help!

Thank you Elise for your reply. That's exactly where I got, but I need to add assign a shortcut to "paste values" and not to "paste special". Even though this shortcut you mention would improve a bit the pace of work it is not exactly what I'm looking for. If you could help me with this it would be great!

Ah ok sorry I misunderstood. Unfortunately there isn’t currently an available keyboard shortcut for this. I do agree it would be useful, the only further suggestion I can give is to submit feedback on this using the in app help menu.

    Kind Regards,

    Elise

Control+Command+V will show the Paste Special dialog and you can choose Values from the dialog.

Option+Command_V also displays the Paste Special Dialog.

When you paste you can click the little widget and choose Paste Values. I'm not sure if this is in the released version or not, but it is in the beta channel, so it will come soon to general release.

Hi, I'm Elise, and I'd be happy to help with your issue.

If you go to Tools > Customise Keyboard, then select home, you will see the command for paste special in the right hand menu. You can then assign a command to this.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

    Kind Regards,

    Elise
