Design Ideas in PowerPoint doesn't resize my images

Hi,

I have the lastest version of Office 365 and I have a subscription. Design Ideas really help me with my PPT and until last Friday everything was working fine. But now, when I add an image to my powerpoint, it suggests me some formatting but it doesn't change the image. It stays a squared image and it doesn't adjust it like it used to.

Can you help me ?

    Designer is AI in the cloud so I believe the problem is NOT an update in PPT but a problem with the AI program. I have several version and update states in my company and they all do this.

    Maybe I'm totally wrong but since Designer is an AI system in the cloud wouldn't it be independent of the Office version?

    Just for the record I see things like this in 365 on a PC (several different versions) I am guessing the images should fill the circles.

    Hi Jonathan_211,

    PowerPoint Designer automatically generates design ideas to choose from, there’s no setting to change the ideas that are generated.

    As you mentioned it started on Friday, may I know if anything changed after that, like Office or mac update?

    Hi Neha,

    I'm using a .pptx

    It shows me options for my slides but all the images of my slides aren't formated like they used to (in a circle format or full screen format, they remain squared)

    I'm using PowerPoint 16.58 and I have a license subscription to Office 365.

    I add some screenshot to show you what's happening.

    Hi Jonathan_211,

    May I know what kind of slide you are using?

    In PowerPoint, there’s no design ideas for process-based slides:

    • Make sure your slide has the Title + Content slide layout applied.
    • Don't use any additional photos, objects, or shapes on the same slide as your process text.

    According to the support article, if Designer can’t generate high-quality options for you, it won’t show any options at all. So, may I know if you see any designs or nothing at all?

    Please provide us with the screenshot showing the slide and the option that appear in Design ideas.

    Also, please confirm the version and build of PowerPoint and Word for mac. To get this information, open PowerPoint, go to the PowerPoint menu and choose About PowerPoint.
