In upper right hand corner of a comment in word are 3 dots corresponding to 3 options -- Delete, Edit, Resolve. Today, in all my word documents, I only get 2 options. "Edit" is missing! Is this a bug?

What I do distinctly remember is that, at least until a few days ago, when you right-clicked the 3-dot symbol, you got 3 options -- Delete, Edit, and Resolve. Now I get only two -- Delete and Resolve. I thought I made that clear above. I always used this "Edit" option to edit comments.
Therefore, there has been a change to the system which I was not aware of.
To clarify a point about how and when changes occur in Microsoft 365...
Most changes do occur when an update is installed. (By the way, your screen shot shows that your Office is almost up to date; Version 2202 (Build 14931.20120) in the Current Channel arrived a few days ago.)
However, there are some changes -- considered "minor" by Microsoft -- that will sneak up on you without changing the stated version/build numbers. What happens in this case is that new code is included in an update but is marked as "do not execute". Later, usually after additional testing, a flag is turned on or off in Microsoft's servers. The next time a user logs into Microsoft 365, the flag causes the new code to be activated. In rare instances, if the code causes a problem, the flag can be reset so that the code returns to inactive. The most warning you'll get may be a sentence or two in a blog post at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/blog/word/ .
I saw Stephen's response marked as "answer". It is a helpful temporary workaround, but it obviously isn't the answer.
The problem, once again, is that there are supposed to be 3 options available on comments and I'm suddenly getting only 2. Were you able to tell from what I sent what version of Word I have and whether it is up-to-date?
Thanks, that does work.
Hi Bruce Lacey,
First, my pleasure to assist you.
As per your description, please don’t worry, we can work together to narrow down and resolve the situation.
Based on my test result, in Word 365 document I'm able to see three option (Delete, Edit, Resolve) in comments.
If the issue happens to all Word files including a new created one, the issue is more related to the Office app itself or your computer environment. You can first try suggestions below to see the result:
In the meantime, to confirm whether this is a bug in a specific version, please provide us the version information. To check version: Open Word>File>Account>Product Information and capture a full screenshot and share here (Please mask your private message for protecting your private message) and we will be tested on that version and verify the result with you.
I appreciate your understanding and stay safe!!
Best regards
