How to change text size in revisions pane?

Edit 2/2/22: still unresolved

When a Word doc has a large number of tracked changes, it closes the balloons and opens the revisions pane on the left side. The changes and comments in the revisions pane are about 4-point type, nearly impossible to read.

Changing the comment text size, balloon size, etc., doesn't matter--that affects only the type size in the balloons, not in the revision pane. For example, I could change the comment text style to 48-point type, which would display in the balloons; in the revision pane, it's still tiny and unreadable.

Please note I'm using Word on a Mac and the solution is probably different from Windows. Thank you for your help!

Another option: Click in the Nav pane then use the Zoom Slider ot the % you prefer.... Zoom in the document is independent of the Nav pane.

Have you tried simply to zoom the text? While holding down the Control key, click on a word in the Revisions pane and roll the wheel of your mouse forward or backward to increase or decrease the text size. I'm on Windows, though, so I don't know if this trick will work on a Mac.

select the content in the Revisions pane itself & apply a different font size.

I don't know of any means of changing the default behavior unless it can be done programmatically. Perhaps someone more qualified can comment on that .

    Hi Dorothy,

That might work, but not when I'm typing (and that's when I really need to read the text). Thanks anyway!

See if modifying both the Comment Text and the Balloon Text styles makes a difference. It does work in Word for Windows (which unfortunately is no guarantee that it will work in MacWord of course).
