My notes layout is mess up and the Notes Master View does nothing. I'm using PowerPoint for Mac 16.64

I'm working on a big project making handouts from the notes view, but the slide is way off center, and the font is highlighted. I've made changes in the Master Notes View, but nothing changes. I've been searching the community, and the only thing I find is that the Notes layout can be quirky. Has anyone found a way to apply layout changes to all the slides in the notes view? Thanks so much!!

A screenshot would clarify what you are seeing. You can post them here using the Insert image tool:

Most likely, you need to repair your Notes Master page, which isn't easy on a Mac. Here's my how-to article: OOXML Hacking: Notes Page Repair

    Dear Tina Hallis

Good day! Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

Based on your description, it seems that the slide can't show correctly in notes view, and the change you made can't work in Master Notes View.

If my understand is correct, we did a test on our end and we can't reproduce the same result as yours. To troubleshoot the possible reason for the behavior, please try the following steps to check the behavior.

    1. OpenFinder > Click Go in the top menu > select Go to Folder:

Move the folder to the desktop: ~/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.powerpointand see the result. Some corrupt caches may be cleared in this way.

    1. Open your PowerPoint in safe mode to see the result. For your reference:  How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

Besides, for your question apply layout changes to all the slides in the notes view. We tried our best to do many tests and search, it seems that no a direct way can achieve this requirement. Apologies for the inconvenience caused to you by this design behavior. Given this situation, we would like to suggest you to submit a feedback in PowerPoint · Community (microsoft.com) so the related team can know about this. This is the quickest route to get your comments to the developers’ ears and it will have more impact as the feedback is coming directly from the customer.

If the notes layout is still mess up on your end, please post bakc and let us know. We'll continute to help you all the time.

Your understanding and patience will be highly appreciated. I hope that you are keeping safe and well!

    Sincerely,
