Hi everyone, I am having some difficulties with database sharing in Access 2019. I have already tried the steps below but it still does not work, can you please help me with this? Thanks

Here are the steps I tried :

Make sure that Access is configured to open in shared mode on all users' computers. This is the default setting, but check to make sure; if a user opens the database in exclusive mode, it will interfere with data availability.

Start Access, then under File, click Options.

In the Access Options area, click Client Settings.

In the Advanced section, under Default Open Mode, select Shared, click OK, and then quit Access.

Copy the database file to the shared folder. After that, make sure the file attributes are set to allow read/write access to the database file. Users must have read/write access to use the database.

On each user's computer, create a shortcut to the database file. For more info, see Create a desktop shortcut for an Office program or file.

1,have you installed ms access on all client pc ?

if so,every client can open it like excel shared file.

2 another option is web solution based on asp or php. clients can access the database through browser without access installed on client side.

Access has a splitter wizard. On the Database Tab, Use the Move data ribbon and choose the Access icon. This will move just the data tables to a separate (back end) file and create a link to those tables in the front end. The back end should be stored on a shared network folder. All users should have Read/Write/Create access to that folder (not just the file).

The front end is then loaded locally on each user's PC. A desktop shortcut can be created to the front end. They also need Read/Write/Create to the local folder.

Shared databases should be split between a back-end on the server (tables only) and a front-end on each workstation (everything else, plus linked tables). This is a FAQ so you should not have any trouble finding more guidance if needed.
