What does "Microsoft Defender for Office 365 has encountered an error" mean?

I encountered the message "Microsoft Defender for Office 365 has encountered an error" when I was going through a reset password process for an online account.

What can I do to deal with the block?

Microsoft 365 and Office | Subscription, account, billing | For home | Windows

    The process and the steps needed to carry it out are beyond me.

    If I am correct, if I start creating a new Windows Profile I'll have to reinstall all my software too. That is asking too much.

    Just to check, where are the screenshots you refer to?

    To reset the network etc, you mean right-click on the start menu of Windows?
