I hope you're well.

I'm having issues with these blue boxes surrounding my page numbers in word. I want them gone. Anyone know the solution? I can't find the solution online so I am posting here - please help!

Your screen shot looks like a picture of a content control displayed in Design Mode.

I take it you created the document based on some template, maybe a template you found online?

On the Developer tab on the ribbon, click to deselect the Design Mode button.

This solved it! Thank you! :)

I am using a style template from Word but customized it to fit my client's brand guidelines.

    What a relief!

    Hello Prakash,

Thank you for your help and swift response!

Unfortunately, this option did not remove the blue boxes with little triangle and lines on either side.

I tried to ctrl+a from within the footer area and then select "Outline Level" to repeat the steps this way but the option to select "Outline Level" is made made unavailable while the footer section is selected.

    Thank you,

    -JM
