Hello

I´m trying to update the Physical % Complete by entering the % manually for each task, but in the summary task, project is not calculating and it remaind 0%. Cost fields are completed, i have saved the baseline and % complete is working correctly in task and summary tasks as well. I have Microsoft® Project® Online Desktop Client MSO (Version 2204 Build 16.0.15128.20210) 64-bit

andreaambrano1,

Did you perhaps switch to using Physical % Complete after your tasks were already entered? Setting earned value calculation to use Physical % Complete in Project Options only applies to new tasks so if your tasks already existed, those task are still using % Complete as the basis for earned value calculations.

Display the Earned Value Method field in your Gantt Chart view. Make sure all your tasks are in-fact set for Physical % Complete. If they are not, change them as necessary and then re-enter your values for Physical % Complete of each task.

I did notice one curious thing about the screen shot you posted, the Work field is zero for all task lines. Do you not have resources assigned to the tasks? If not, who/what is "earning the value"? If there is no cost associated with your tasks, that will also cause summary lines to show zero in the Physical % Complete field. The Physical % Complete field needs cost data to calculate at summary level.

Hope this helps.

John
